September Monthly Project Box - Buck 110 Knife Sheath Pouch
Project Boxes go on sale the 1st and come down around the 15th. We ship every order together after the sale window closes, so your box leaves our shop mid-month.
Your Project Box arrives separately from the rest of your order. Anything else you buy ships on its normal schedule. Shipping details
Why You’ll Love It
This month, we’re giving you more than a box of leather and hardware. We’re giving you the materials, instruction, and guidance to build a professional-quality knife sheath alongside one of the best instructors in the craft.
Your Project Box includes the materials for the build plus lifetime access to George’s complete 2.5-hour course, a $47 value. Across 29 detailed lessons, George doesn’t just show you what to do. He helps you understand the decisions behind a well-designed sheath, from pattern development and welt construction to carry angle, hardware placement, stitching, and finishing.
This is your opportunity to learn directly from a master craftsman, complete the project at your own pace, and return to the course anytime you want to revisit a technique. For only $59, you’ll receive both the physical Project Box and an exceptional learning experience you can keep using long after the project is finished.
About the Sheath
You’ll learn how to create a sheath that can be worn at a 45-degree angle or horizontally, giving you practical carry options without sacrificing comfort or durability. George walks you step by step through patterning, cutting, gluing, stitching, hardware installation, edge finishing, and final assembly. He’ll also show you how to add a ferro rod attachment for a functional, field-ready finish.
More importantly, the skills George teaches are not limited to this one project. You’ll gain a better understanding of structure, balance, protection, and construction that you can carry into future sheath designs and other leatherworking projects.
Whether you’re building your first advanced knife sheath or refining techniques you already use, this course will help you approach your work with greater confidence, precision, and purpose.
What Makes This Project Box Different
This collaboration brings together the quality materials and hands-on building experience you expect from Maker’s Leather Supply with the in-depth education and community-driven learning available through Illume.
You’re not getting a quick tutorial that disappears when the project is over. You’re getting lifetime access to a structured, 29-lesson course taught by George Cubic, a craftsman who has been working with leather since 1976 and has spent decades studying traditional leathercraft.
Inside your Project Box, you’ll receive:
- 1 sq. ft. of Texas Oak 8-10 oz leather
- 2 T-nuts
- 2 8/32 screws
- Waxed Thread
- 1 Line 24 snap
- 1¼" flat washer
- Lifetime access to George Cubic’s complete Learn with Illume course, a $47 value
This Project Box is only available during the 15-day selling period. If you’re ready to build a better sheath, learn from an outstanding craftsman, and add techniques to your skill set that you’ll use again and again, don’t miss your opportunity to order before the window closes at midnight on the 15th.
***Boxes typically start shipping around the middle of the month after sales are complete***
