About the Authur:
Jürgen Volbach is a trained goldsmith and engraver from Cologne, Germany. At the age of 14 he started his apprenticeship and has continued working in artistic crafts for 45 years.
In the 1980's Jürgen began working with leather when he created a custom saddle for his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was inspired by floral and pictorial leather working after traveling through Texas.
Jürgen spent time working at Don Atkinson's workshop in Texas where he advanced his skills, learning how to use a swivel knife and leather working tools.
Today, Jürgen is a highly-respected artist and leather craftsman. He offers workshops in leather working throughout Europe and the USA.
Jürgen is a proud recipient of the Al Stohlman Award (2020).
