Love this pattern. Easy build, everything fits as it should.
Aaron produces some excellent project templates, but unfortunately this isn't among them. Firstly, I would not purchase the flexible templates again and feel that the extra cost of shipping is worthwhile for the rigid templates, which are much easier to layout. The curve has not relaxed at all on these pieces even after sitting under a piece of plywood for a week, and the curvature makes them prone to scratching the leather surface as the ends curl in.
The pattern makes no mention of handles at all, but this information can be found buried within the instructional video on youtube. This video, which was posted over a year ago as of this review, acknowledges that the attachment points for the handles are also incorrect, but the template has still not been updated. As it is, the template requires user modification in order to produce a handbag of pleasing proportion.
If you're willing to work with a pattern that isn't quite right, the project goes together fairly simply/quickly even fully saddle stitched. At the price point, I would have really liked to have a pattern template that doesn't require modification.
