Best out there for the money tools burnishes and dyes well. Great tool burnishing as well what more could you ask for

If the item you are making is to remain flat, and is heavily tooled, then this leather is ok. If this leather is to bend even SLIGHTLY it gets horrible compression marks. Burnishings the edges takes alot more sanding than usual to achieve a presentable finish. I purchased two different shoulders and both are the same. There are far better economy grade leathers on the market. I love shopping at Makers LS, but this product is a thumbs down.

Outstanding deal on some quality leather for those hobby projects. I have not tooled any yet but looking at the leather its vary nice with better quality flesh side than I have found elsewhere. I'm happy hope you can keep this around and in stock.

I gave this one five stars for a few different reasons. I bought it to make knife sheaths . When it arrived, I thought it might be too bendy, but it turned out to be perfect. It's not too stiff and not too flexible.. It is also consistent from edge to edge. I have ordered other shoulders that had more soft spots around the edges or that were annoyingly stiff for the same price. Whether I make a sheath that retains the knife just by friction or whether I am wet forming it, This leather works perfectly. It does wet forming as well as anything, including Hermann Oak. It also takes dye beautifully and consistently. It was recommended to me by another maker, butI I had to see it to believe it.
