I’ve used makeshift tools in a pinch, but once I got my hands on a real rivet setter set like this, I stopped fighting with my hardware. Stick 1 presses the burr down tight, stick 2 peens it over clean, and stick 3 is there if you want to round off the back side for a polished finish.
